All Saints Church to re-open its doors
11
All Saints Church, Godshill, expects to hold its first post-lockdown service on Sunday 26th July at 11:00am. Following Father John's retirement in February, the parish has been without a vicar and has relied on Deacon Corinne to manage affairs through the lockdown period.
Fr Alan Swanmore, a much-loved member of Godshill's worshipping community, and Fr Gregory Clifton-Smith, have each agreed to say mass once a month. The second service will be on Sunday 9th August and will then continue on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month.
There has been a tremendous amount of work going on in All Saints behind the scenes. Dennis, Brian and a team of volunteers have done the risk-assessment, cleaned the church and helped get the signage in place to enable the church to open.
